Eastside Family Medical is the culmination of Dr. William DuBois’ vision when in 1989, he finalized the purchase of a practice that was established in 1986.  His vision was to provide comprehensive quality health care in a central location in Mecosta County.

Dr. DuBois recruited the best specialists in their field to provide specialty clinics.  EFM now has 18 medical providers and offers more than 30 medical services.

“There’s no comparable rural medical clinic in Western Michigan like Eastside Family Medical,” said Dr. DuBois.  “We are especially honored to have Dr. Lory Read on staff as a family physician.  Dr. Read is a National Rural Health Service Core Scholar and this specialty fits beautifully with the vision for this practice.”

Dr. DuBois says he has no plans for retirement.

“I’m having way too much fun doing what I do.  I want to continue to integrate the latest technologies into medical care in the rural setting and bring the sub-specialists to the patients,” he said.  

Eastside Family Medical is a sponsor of the annual Health Fair held in Canadian Lakes where many providers are able to inform the public of their services.  Dr. DuBois and his wife are especially proud of their support of a local child care agency. 

“We’ve supported Eagle Village for many years through our sponsorship of a golf outing that raises over $ 50,000 annually.  This sponsorship ensures that at-risk children have the best care and treatment possible.”
